PURPOSE-- This paper explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to change business models, alter the market forces, and determine organizational competitiveness. It also examines the key issues that go with the implementation of AI and how organizations anticipate the future of AI-driven businesses.
DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH--The quantitative cross-sectional survey design was used. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data on 350 professionals who represented technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and other sectors using 15 Likert-scale items. The instrument was found to be very reliable with a total Cronbachs Alpha of 0.87. The analysis of perceptions of respondents was done through the use of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 29 to conduct a descriptive analysis and Chi-square analysis.
FINDINGS-- The findings reveal that AI has greatly facilitated efficiency in operations, strategic decision-making, resource optimization, and competitiveness of the organization. Respondents hugely concurred that AI-enabled organizations have a stronger competitive edge and better predictive abilities in market trends and consumer behaviour. Even though the implementation cost, ethical issues, regulatory compliance, and uncertainty about the workforce are significant issues, participants were highly confident that AI will be the major company success driver within the next decade. Each of the measured constructs was statistically significant (p < 0.001), which validates the same perceptions throughout the sample.
ORIGINALITY/VALUE--The research paper will add to the existing body of literature on autonomous enterprises, offering empirical data on the transformation of the business model innovation and competitive market behavior through AI in various industries. The findings provide useful insights to business leaders, policymakers, and technology practitioners who aim to deploy AI in a responsible manner without affecting sustainable organizational growth and sustainable competitive edge.
